Last week, the Levvy team crossed the pond to London for the Digital Accountancy Show 2025—and it did not disappoint. From the moment we walked into Evolution London, the energy was palpable. This wasn’t just another industry event—it was a front-row seat to the future of accounting.
Over two packed days, we listened, learned, connected, and reconnected with incredible people across the accounting space. Whether it was the big ideas being shared on stage or the one-on-one chats in between sessions, DAS was a reminder of why we do what we do—and who we’re building for.
First up, Jason Staats delivered a session that was nothing short of a wake-up call: AI Agents are here, and they’re ready to revolutionize the way we work—even to the point of replacing roles that haven’t yet adapted to this new landscape.
Jason took us on a journey through the past 100 days of AI innovation. He highlighted the fierce competition between giants like OpenAI, Microsoft Copilot, and Deep Seek, underpinned by staggering investments—$500B in the US and $150B in the UK. The message was clear: the AI revolution isn’t coming; it’s already here.
One standout demonstration was OpenAI’s Operator. Jason showed how this tool can simultaneously run three projects, save workflows for recurring tasks, and conduct deep research in just 10 minutes. Even in paid versions, where you get 10 queries a month, the impact is undeniable when you give it a final prompt to analyze and bullet-point key insights.
Imagine empowering your team to:
His message was clear: firms that start incorporating AI into everyday workflows today will outpace those who wait to “figure it out later.” That means it’s time to get your team to start using AI in your daily work—teach it how you review data, and watch productivity soar.
Another standout moment came from Ami Copeland, who explored how bookkeeping is shifting in an AI-driven world–and how to grow your practice by adding complementary advisory services.
As machines take care of the busywork, firms have a huge opportunity to layer on advisory services that provide real value to clients. It’s not just about working faster—it’s about working smarter and building stronger relationships.
We also loved hearing from Helen Rogers and Dayle Rodriguez, who brought sharp perspectives on the accountancy world.
We wrapped things up with a lively Q&A between Jason Staats and Jordan Vickery of Vinyl, who answered rapid-fire questions about what accounting firms can–and should–be doing with AI right now.
Beyond the sessions, one of the best parts of DAS was connecting with friends—old and new.
The biggest takeaway? The gap between “early adopters” and “everyone else” is closing—fast. Whether you’re running a solo practice or managing a team of 50, it’s time to start experimenting with AI, rethinking how your team works, and designing systems that support both speed and strategy.
We left DAS more excited than ever about what we’re building: a work management platform that helps accounting firms run smarter, move faster, and stay future-ready.
Until next year, London!
If you’re not familiar, the Digital Accountancy Show (DAS) is one of the UK’s leading events for forward-thinking accountants, bookkeepers, and firm leaders. Hosted annually in London, it brings together over 3,000 attendees and 100+ speakers for two days of future-focused learning, networking, and tech exploration.
The sessions span everything from AI, automation, and cybersecurity to people leadership, pricing models, and firm growth strategies. It’s not your typical accounting conference—it’s fast-paced, collaborative, and unapologetically tech-savvy.
Whether you're a solo practitioner or scaling a larger practice, DAS is where ideas are exchanged, trends are challenged, and the next generation of accounting gets mapped out.
We couldn’t have been happier to be in the room—and we’re already looking forward to next year.
